Alma Debbie Champion, 55, of Dublin, passed away Friday, December 2, 2022, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, GA. She was born November 2, 1962, to the late Thomas Rayburn and Helen Hutcheson Smith. She loved fishing, shopping, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Champion is survived by her husband: Wayne Champion; daughter: Blanco Murphy (Chris) of Milledgeville; two granddaughters: Sophia and Madison; brothers: Carlos Barney Smith (Beverly) of Glenwood and Rayburn Joe Smith of McRae; sister: Nina Howell (Tommy) of McRae; nephews: Dwyane Howell (Dara) of Lyons and Carlos Barney Smith Jr. “JJ” of Dublin; niece: Gabrielle Smith of Iowa; aunts: Shirley Ann Sanders of Albany and Louise Hurting “Ann” of Florida; and uncle: Benton Kersey of Collins.
