Christine W. Helms

Christine Williamson Helms, 82, of Vidalia, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Lumber City Nursing Home in Lumber City, GA. She was born October 22, 1940, to the late Herman and Pauline Tapley Williamson.  She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church, and she enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren and reading.  Ms. Helms was preceded in death by her husband: Ray Helms; and three brothers: Alvin Williamson, Sr., Charles Williamson, and Raymond Williamson.   

 
Ms. Helms is survived by her daughter: Tressi White (Shaun) of Alamo; grandchildren: Kaydranna Way of Glenwood, Brittany White of Alamo, and Shaunna White of Alamo; great-grandchildren: Esanya Way, Myranna S. Way, and Icelyn White; and several nieces and nephews.   

 
A graveside service will be held Friday, January 27, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Blockers Chapel Cemetery in Vidalia, GA with Rev. Troy Maddox officiating.  

Towns Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
