David Herbert Rutledge, Jr., 65, of Glenwood, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021 at Fairview Park Hospital. Mr. Rutledge was born November 12, 1955 in Clermont, FL to the late David Herbert and Evelyn Harnage Rutledge. He worked in construction for a number of years while living in Florida but thoroughly enjoyed his job in the logging industry since moving to Georgia. Mr. Rutledge had a love for the outdoors, especially hunting but also gardening and fishing.
He is survived by his wife: Connie Rutledge of Glenwood; two sons: Chris Rutledge (Melissa Burnette) of East Dublin and Brian Rutledge (Lynn) of Glenwood; five grandchildren: Courtney Rutledge, Gage Rutledge, Hope Rutledge, Chandler Rutledge, and Ayden Rutledge; brothers and sisters: Shirley Harnage of FL, Terri Byron of FL, Rick Parker of LA, and Bill Rutledge of FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held for Mr. Rutledge at a later date.
Towns Funeral Home of Alamo is in charge of arrangements.
