Drevin Kayhle Hayes, age 14, of Alamo, GA, passed away on October 9, 2023. He was the son of Mike and Beverly Hayes of Alamo and was born August 17, 2009, in Dublin, GA. Drevin was a 9th-grade student at Wheeler County High School, where he was very active and involved in school organizations. He was a member of FCA, FBLA, and FFA, and he was on the high school baseball team. Playing baseball was his favorite thing to do—his passion—and he was so excited to finally be a part of the WCHS Baseball Team. Not only was he athletic, but he was an intelligent student who made good grades, a self-proclaimed PlayStation expert, and a friend to so very many. He loved to fish and hunt, and he enjoyed rough-housing with his brothers. Drevin was a fun-loving young man who gave 110% in all he did. Everyone who knew him and loved him will deeply miss his sweet, mischievous little grin.
Drevin is survived by his parents: Mike and Beverly Hayes; brothers: Dakota Hayes and Danyon Hayes; Mommie: Kayla James of Athens; uncle: Brian James (Cindy) of Alamo; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Danny James.
