Evelyn Phillips Obituary

Dollie Evelyn Phillips, 75, of Glenwood, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Community Hospice in Vidalia, GA.  She was born November 13, 1947, to the late Remus Killingsworth and Avis Watson.  Ms. Phillips was a member of Sardis Baptist Church and a former employee of the Wheeler County Hospital and WalMart.  She found happiness, fulfillment, and great joy in spending time with and caring for her late husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Her world, without a doubt, revolved around her family.  Ms. Phillips loved making homemade biscuits for her grandchildren and baking peanut butter cookies with her great-grandchildren.  She will forever be remembered for her delicious cooking but, most importantly, for her strength, support, and unconditional love for those blessed enough to call her theirs.

Ms. Phillips is survived by her daughters: Kay Morgan (Danny) of Alamo, Lynan Fowler (Ronnie) of Alamo, and Michelle Marsh Greer of Glenwood; grandchildren: David Morgan, Brent Phillips (Amanda), Danielle Connell (Buster), Derick Fowler (Ashley), Erick Fowler (Carley), Dusty Phillips, Cody Marsh, Jesslyn Phillips, and Skylar Greer; great-grandchildren: Anslee Purvis, Kayden Connell, Lane Connell, Ginnie Connell, Kinslee Fowler, Natalee Phillips, Makinezi Fowler, Charlie Connell, Grannon Bohannon, Randi Phillips, Addaline Phillips, Kane Fowler, Ace Phillips, Oaklie Connell, and Cylen (Spade) Phillips; sisters: Ann Holton (Bobby) of East Dublin, Sheralyn Singletary (Butch) of Perry, and Robin Carter of Perry; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her late parents; husband: Elbert C. Phillips; son: Randy Phillips; and grandson: Ronnie Fowler.

Services for Ms. Phillips will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 26th, at Sardis Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service, and interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
