Mr. James Paul Gay, 78, of Alamo, passed away Tuesday, November 09, 2021, at Navicent Health in Macon, GA. He was born September 25, 1943, in Alamo, GA to the late James Ivy and Bessie Watson Gay. Mr. Gay retired as foreman after many years in the machine fabrication industry. He enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
Mr. Gay is survived by his wife of 59 years: Judy Ann Floyd Gay of Alamo; three daughters: Latrell Gay (Ronnie) of Dublin, Becky Carter (Mike) of Alamo, and Ruby Bynum (Dewayne) of Alamo; sister: Shirley Towns of Towns; brothers and sisters-in-law: J.B. Floyd (Margaret) of Alamo, Donnie Floyd (Latrelle) of Brunswick, and Martha Floyd of Alamo; grandchildren: Joshua Joiner (Tabby) of Dublin, Jesse Joiner (Brittany) of Dublin, Kyle Bynum of Atlanta, Maci Spell (Camron) of Alamo, Emily Carter of Alamo, and Brandon Bynum (Alexis) of Alamo; great-grandchildren: Raidyn, Maddyn, Byne, Brekyn, Berklie, and Behr Joiner, Jase and Adlee Grace Carter, Crue Spell, Boone Carter, and Jonathan Thomas and Elizabeth Bynum; and best friend: Ricky Johnson (Gail).
He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law: Howard Joiner.
Visitation will be Friday, November 12, 2021, at Towns Funeral Home from 6 pm until 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Alamo Church of God with interment following in Alamo City Cemetery.
