Ms. Mina Marlene Fowler, age 77, of Alamo, GA, passed away at Meadows Hospital in Vidalia, GA, on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, after an extended illness. She was born March 15, 1947, to the late Allen and Willie Gertrude Abbott Oliver. Ms. Fowler grew up in Wheeler County and was a graduate of Wheeler County High School. She worked as a pharmaceutical technician for many years where she enjoyed working alongside her colleagues to serve the public. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Ms. Fowler was preceded by her husband: Holland Fowler; daughter: Teresa Carter; sister: Paulette Edge; and brothers: Vance Oliver and Larry Oliver.
Ms. Fowler is survived by her daughters: Pam Sumner (Charles) and Kim Pope; grandchildren: Ashlee Hill, Cole Hill (Kalyn), Alex Brantley, Taylor Pope, Kyle Pope (Amber), Jessica Pope, and Joy Reynolds; great-grandchildren: Woody Hill, Bella Pope, Jaxson Pope, Damian Pope, and Kevin LeBlanc Jr.; aunt: Jewelene Abbott; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Towns Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow in the Alamo Memorial Cemetery at 3:00 P.M.
