Rebecca Ann “Patsy” Clements Anderson

October 11, 1944 – August 17, 2024

Patsy Anderson, wife of Glenn Anderson Sr., and beloved mother to 6 children (5 earthly children, and 1 son that she is now reunited with in heaven) passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024. She was 79 years old and resided in Brooks, Georgia. Her passing has left a void that can never be filled.

Patsy was born in Soperton, Georgia to Myrtle Oliver Clements and Everett Lamar Clements. Her childhood and school years were spent in Glenwood, Georgia. She married Glenn Anderson, Sr. in 1962. They were High School sweethearts and were married for 62 years. Patsy was a devoted mother to Michelle, Glenn Jr., Julie, Shannon and Amy. Family was her priority, always making sure we had “family gatherings”.

Patsy was passionate concerning her service for Jesus Christ. For thirty-three years she was the ideal pastor’s wife. She had a great love for missions and world evangelism. Also, she faithfully served in the church’s nursery for thirty-three years. Her love and devotion to the many babies she rocked and cared for was Biblical. (Matthew 19:14 Suffer little children to come unto me.)

Survivors include her husband, Glenn W. Anderson Sr.: children, Michelle A. Jones and husband Keith, Glenn Anderson Jr., Julie A. Pendleton and husband, Travis, Amy A. Shull and husband Vic, grandchildren: Kyle Jones, Kody Jones, Dylan Anderson, Evan Anderson, Britton Rowland, Ashlyn Spencer, (husband Christian), Morgan Engeman (husband Allen), Madilyn Ward, Mylee Ward, Anna Wilde; great grandchildren, Wade Spencer, Nash Spencer, Addison Engeman.

A visitation will be on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 104 Dub Walker Rd., Jackson, Georgia 30233. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be conducted in the church sanctuary with Pastor Chad Gordon officiating. Burial will be in the Glenwood City Cemetery, Wheeler County Georgia on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at 1:00 PM.
