Mr. Paul Junior Jackson, age 91, of Alamo, GA, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 28, 2024, after a brief illness.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Towns Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. A service in celebration of his life will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Snowhill Community Church, with interment following in the church cemetery.
Mr. Jackson was born February 14, 1932, in Wheeler County to the late Asa and Lula Mercer Jackson. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Florida Department of Agriculture. He was a member of Snowhill Community Church, where he enjoyed making music, serving the Lord, and spending time with his church family. He loved woodworking, gardening, making syrup, fishing, and hunting.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife: Susie Howard Jackson of Alamo; daughter: Susan Ward of Alamo; son: Don Jackson (Lisa) of FL; step-children: Donald Moore (Mary) of Glenwood and John Moore (Debbie) of Reidsville; grandchildren: Carrie Tanner of Glenwood, Cindy Morris (Jason) of Thomasville, and Paul Jackson of FL; step-grandchildren: Caitlin Moore and Hannah Moore both of Glenwood; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Lois Folendore of Haddock and Louise Brooks of Gray; and brother: Franklin Jackson of Haddock.
He was preceded in death by his wife Inez Jackson; his parents; son: Terry Jackson; siblings: Talmadge Jackson, Leonard Jackson, and Darthy Jones; and step-daughter: Lawanda Evans.
