Tyler James Young Obituary

Tyler James Young, age 35, of Alamo, Georgia, passed away on January 17, 2026.
Tyler was born on October 25, 1990, in Dublin, Georgia, to Tony James Young and the late Pamela Denise Stovall Young. He attended Greater Vision Church and was a graduate of Wheeler County High School, Class of 2009. After high school, he attended Diesel Technician Training as well as CDL Training School. Tyler worked for several years as a truck driver and spent the last few years working in the woods, logging.

Tyler enjoyed hunting, riding horses, and spending time with his family and friends. He never met a stranger, appreciated the simple things in life, and was always willing to help others. His kind heart and friendly spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.

Tyler is survived by his father and stepmother, Tony and Darlene Young of Alamo; his grandfather, Clinton Stovall of Alamo; stepbrothers, Ryan Harper (Allison) of Broxton and Jared Harper of Denton; and several nieces, nephews, and a large extended family whom he dearly loved.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pam Stovall Young; his maternal grandmother, Martha Stovall; and his paternal grandparents, Bobby and Betty Young.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Greater Vision Church, 951 S. Union Church Rd. Alamo, with Pastor Troy Maddox officiating. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Alamo Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Greater Vision Church.
