Mr. Wesley Hartley, Jr., age 82, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm at Alamo First Baptist Church on Saturday, July 25, 2026 with Rev. Joey Diers officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

   Mr. Hartley was born September 29, 1943 to the Faye Cooper and Vernon Hartley. He was a lifelong resident of Wheeler County, Georgia. After high school, Mr. Hartley attended and graduated from University of Georgia. He later retired from the Georgia Forestry Commission. His lifelong passion for hunting and fishing led him to be heavily involved in Legacy Outdoor Ministry. By product of his Christian faith, Mr. Hartley served as a deacon at Alamo Baptist Church and volunteered his time with Builders For Christ. He was also very involved with athletics in the Wheeler County area.

   Mr. Hartley is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Bailey Hartley; his sons, Tim Hartley, Charles Hartley (Wendy Angel), and Benji Hartley (Amy); his grandchildren, Savannah Gammon (Wayne), Addison Hartley, Ansley Williamson (Jamie), Cooper Hartley, Shelbi Hartley, Alli Hartley, and D.J. Williams; his great grandchildren, Sawyer Williamson, Henry Gammon, Skye Williams, and Naomi Williams.

   In addition to his parents, Mr. Hartley is predeceased by his son, Kevin Hartley; and his daughter-in-law, Alicia Clark Hartley

   In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made to Legacy Outdoors Ministry at 132 Browndale Plantation Road, Hawkinsville, Georgia 31036 or Alamo First Baptist Church.
