William Wyndall "Sparky" Smith

Mr. William Wyndall “Sparky” Smith, age 74, of Alamo, GA, passed away at his home on Saturday, March 16, 2024.  He was born September 8, 1949, in McRae, GA, to the late Herman Chester Smith and Mary Housend Sellers.  Mr. Smith served in the Vietnam War as a member of the U.S. Navy.  He was a retired truck driver and enjoyed watching NASCAR, hunting, and fishing.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  

Mr. Smith is survived by his children, William Scott “Bubba” Smith and Wendy Ricks (Jamie); grandchildren: Adrien Leggett (Luke), Trey Walden (Ashley), ReAnnah Ricks Rogers (Keaton), and Brannen Ricks; great-grandchildren: Lane, Lydia, and Liam Leggett, Rose Walden, and Leighton Rogers; siblings: Gary “Shine” Smith (Jane) and Donna Jones.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Smith, and his siblings, Kermit Gore, Glenda Burnett, Sammy Smith, and Kent Smith.  
 
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on April 6 at the Smith home in Towns, GA.
